Wings Reviewed: Place That Serves Wings

Overview: Sometimes you eat fast food. If you’re me, you eat it more than you probably should. Sometimes those fast food places offer a buffalo chicken wing type product, though almost always “for a limited time only”. This seems to be one of those occasions. Though I can’t find “for a limited time only” on their website, these things never stick around for long.

I like Hardee’s alright, and find their regular chicken strips to be unquestionably the best in the fast-food industry. I do find that their speed of service is almost invariably slow, especially if you go inside to order. On this particular occasion, I was on a road trip so I was especially in a hurry and annoyed at the speed of service.

Hardee’s, to my knowledge, doesn’t offer any other buffalo chicken products, but they do have a burger with buffalo sauce on it that you might have seen advertised lately. I haven’t had that, however, and even if I do, I won’t be reviewing it. I don’t remember exactly how much my five piece meal cost, but it was probably too much.

Review: The regular chicken strips are my go-to order at Hardee’s. I normally get them with honey mustard and the Franks dipping hot sauce. So, I’ve got to admit that I was a little excited when I saw these buffalo strips in a large image on my local Hardee’s.

Unfortunately, they were just kind of ok. I got them about 10 minutes after I ordered them, and they were kind of soggy. The spicy level was well above average for a fast food chain, and the chicken was white meat and pretty good all the way through. You’d do a better job ordering chicken strips with hot sauce and dipping it yourself. That’s what I’ll be doing next time.
