This is where I rank & review all of the sauces from Pizza Hut/WingStreet. These wings are ranked from worst to best, with #1 being the best. This is a multi-week review and you’re currently looking at a work in progress.. I’ve finished this process. You can read this article, but none of these wings are that good. Don’t get wings at Pizza Hut/WingStop unless you really want them.
You can read more about the project in the Intro, or check out the individual reviews:

#9 Garlic Parmesan
Really having a hard time getting over how my wings are just drowning in this sauce. It’s like a wing stew. The wings hardly breach the surface of this weird separated oil/cheese mixture.
Yeah, that sounds bad. But the reality slightly exceeded the appearance. Definitely a very mild sauce with no heat at all to speak of, these Garlic Parmesan wings were… acceptable. Unlike most sauces in this flavor which are very creamy, this one somehow was not. Neither the Parmesan nor the Garlic flavors were overwhelming and in fact there wasn’t much flavor at all. These aren’t bad, but don’t get them.
#8 Cajun Dry Rub
I like cajun rubs. I like BWW’s version. I really like St. Louis Wing Co’s version. I expected to like these more.
This… struck me as more of a BBQ rub with a small amount of jerk seasoning instead of a true cajun rub. Also, the rub was unevenly distributed, with some wings getting lots and some getting almost none. Bummer. These aren’t bad, but they are not a shining example of their style.
#7 Buffalo Mild
Most mild buffalo sauces are boring and taste too much like butter and not enough like hot sauce. For this reason, I don’t like most buffalo mild sauces very much.
Pizza Hut/WingStreet has bucked the mold here, with a sauce that remains true to its “Mild” name, but appears to have taken a different route on the “buffalo” trail. Rather than being too buttery, this mild sauce has a tanginess to it. This sauce has more of an asian feel to it compared to a traditional buffalo sauce, but is pretty nice. These are not spicy at all. I liked them more than expected.
#6 Lemon Pepper (rub)
Yep, these sure are wings with a lemon pepper rub. I like that rub though, and these wings are pretty tasty. They were juicy and overall not bad.
The flavor was mild but unoffensive in pretty much every regard. The rubbed wings are a bit crispier than their sauced counterparts and that’s good.
#5 Hawaiian Teriyaki
Yeah, they kind of teste like Teriyaki. They aren’t bad. There’s a little sweetness, there’s a little soy. Not a lot of spice. Do these sound like the rest of the wing flavors that Pizza Hut/WingStreet offers? Well, they kind of are. Middle of the pack in a middle of the pack variety of sauces, I guess.
#4 Spicy Garlic
Same weird (but kind of appealing) flavor profile as the rest of Pizza Hut’s buffalo line but with Garlic? Or at least the Garlic is advertised. These don’t necessarily taste any more or less garlic than anythign else.
Almost no noticeable spice. Don’t know why spicy is in the name, or why they serve wings at Pizza Hut, or why I’m reviewing all of them.`
#3 Buffalo Medium
Middle of the road sauce is middle of the road. Not spicy, better than the Buffalo mild that I had last week but really not a lot going for it one way or the other flavor-wise.
I would say that a medium buffalo sauce should be spicier than this one is. There is no thickness to this sauce either. It is very runny, but it does a fine job sticking to the wings. Hoping for better in the Hot Buffalo next week.
#2 Honey BBQ
A sauce that came in mid-bottom of the pack in both of my previous large sauce reviews (Buffalo Wild Wings: 15/21, Sonic: 4/6) turns out pretty unobjectionable here.
The flavor profile here kind of reminds me of the sauce version of Honey BBQ Frito Twists and I really enjoy those. The sweetness is there but it isn’t overwhelming. The BBQ is the main flavor and it’s pretty good. These are not spicy and should be accessible to anyone with a mild spice tolerance. To my surprise, I would order these again.
#1 Buffalo Burnin’ Hot
These have the same flavor profile as the Mild & Medium sauces but finally with an acceptable level of heat. These were probably a little bit less spicy than Buffalo Wild Wings’ Hot Buffalo, but in the ballpark. These are the first wings that had any kind of burn to them, and left my lips a bit numb and my nose a bit runny.
The flavor profile is interesting. The sauce is runny and not at all creamy. These would probably have been even better if they were properly sauced rather than swimming in it. Of the 6 sauces I’ve tried so far, this would be the one I was most likley to order again.
